Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Quality Engineer to own the end-to-end quality strategy for complex features, APIs, web applications, and data-driven workflows. This role sits within a high-velocity, continuous-flow delivery team and requires a technical quality mindset, combining hands-on testing, test automation, and the use of modern AI-assisted workflows to improve defect prevention and release confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Ownership & Strategy: Own the end-to-end validation approach across web applications, APIs, data flows, permissions, integrations, and AWS-backed services from design through release.
• Automation Development: Build and maintain scalable browser test automation using Playwright and TypeScript for high-value user flows, as well as backend API validation.
• Failure Investigation: Troubleshoot and analyze complex system behavior across browser diagnostics, API payloads, SQL database records, cloud logs (AWS/CloudWatch), and downstream workflows.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate and maintain automated testing suites inside our CI/CD pipelines to enforce risk-based quality gates.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Productively utilize generative AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) for test scenario generation, code refactoring, and log analysis while ensuring output validity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on Quality Engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on web applications, APIs, and backend-driven workflows.
• Automation Stack: Strong practical experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Backend & API Testing: Deep experience testing API-driven workflows and tools like Postman or Bruno.
• Data Validation: Strong experience using SQL to verify data persistence, schema mapping accuracy, and workflow states.
• Cloud & Observability: Practical experience diagnosing infrastructure behavior using AWS, CloudWatch, and observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Kibana, Sentry).
• CI/CD & Git: Solid familiarity with version control and pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions.

Nice to Have

• Experience validating non-deterministic or event-driven systems (e.g., queues, asynchronous data pipelines, or basic LLM/AI testing awareness).
• Familiarity with cross-browser testing platforms like BrowserStack.
• Experience working in customer-critical, operationally sensitive, or high-impact domains.
