Head of accounting / Главный бухгалтер

Responsibilities:

• Manage the company's full-cycle accounting and tax operations, including vehicle imports, spare parts, and after-sales services.

• Oversee accounting activities in both SAP (Group reporting) and 1C (local statutory and tax accounting), ensuring accurate reconciliation between the two systems.

• Supervise Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), fixed assets, inventory, cost, and expense accounting.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

• Prepare statutory financial statements and management reports for local management and Group headquarters.

• Ensure compliance with the tax regulations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and oversee timely tax reporting.

• Manage VAT accounting, electronic document management (Didox), import transactions, foreign currency operations, and customs documentation.

• Monitor reconciliations with suppliers and dealers and ensure timely settlement of outstanding balances.

• Coordinate external audits and maintain effective communication with tax authorities and external consultants.

• Lead, develop, and manage the accounting team while continuously improving accounting processes and internal controls.

• Develop and enhance accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial governance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including team management.

• Solid experience in full-set accounting and tax compliance.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of 1C and SAP FI.

• In-depth understanding of the tax legislation and National Accounting Standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

• Experience with Didox, electronic invoicing, and import-related accounting.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Experience in multinational companies or the automotive, import, trading, or distribution industries will be an advantage.

• Fluent in Uzbek and Russian; English and/or Chinese proficiency will be considered an advantage.
