The opportunity
We are hiring a highly motivated and analytical Intern to join our Transaction Diligence team in Almaty. As part of a fast-paced deal environment, you will support buy-side and sell-side transactions across a variety of industries by assisting with financial analysis, due diligence procedures, market research, and preparation of client deliverables.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, financial due diligence, and corporate finance advisory projects.
What will you do:
- Support financial due diligence engagements for acquisitions, disposals, capital raises, and strategic investments.
- Analyze historical financial statements and management accounts.
- Assist in identifying key earnings drivers, working capital trends, cash flow movements, debt items, and transaction-related risks.
- Perform financial and operational data analysis using Excel and other analytical tools.
- Conduct industry, company, and market research to support transaction workstreams.
- Assist in the preparation of due diligence reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Review financial, legal, operational, and commercial information provided through virtual data rooms.
- Support project teams in preparing information requests and tracking data received from clients.
- Participate in client meetings and internal discussions as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues from strategy, valuation, tax, legal, and other advisory teams on multidisciplinary projects.

What we look for:
- Recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in M&A, corporate finance, private equity, or consulting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Russian, Kazakh is a plus.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of financial statement analysis and corporate finance concepts.
- Familiarity with IFRS and basic accounting principles.
- Previous internship experience in audit, financial advisory, investment banking, private equity, or consulting is an advantage.
