We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Kazakhstan operations. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director/ Group Finance Head, you will safeguard accurate financial reporting and statutory compliance, oversee banking and payment processes, and support day-to-day finance operations. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Produce monthly management accounts, reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Drive month-end and year-end closing to schedule.
- Prepare statutory tax returns and maintain compliance with Kazakhstan tax regulations, covering VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), payroll taxes and other applicable taxes.
- Prepare tax reconciliations and support statutory reporting and any tax audits.
- Manage the banking process end to end, including payment preparation, payment verification and upkeep of banking documentation.
- Review supplier invoices, purchase orders, approvals and supporting documents against company policy before payments are processed.
- Work with suppliers and internal departments to secure all required supporting documents, including Acts of Acceptance (AOA), Electronic Service Forms (ESF), tax invoices, contracts, purchase orders, and other statutory documentation required for payment processing.
- Process vendor, payroll, tax and intercompany payments in line with the company's approval matrix and internal control procedures.
- Issue customer invoices with the supporting documentation required under Kazakhstan regulations and customer contracts, such as Acts of Acceptance (AOA), Electronic Service Forms (ESF) and tax invoices.
- Uphold internal financial controls, company policies and delegated authority requirements.
- Act as the finance point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, banks and government authorities.
- Partner with the Singapore Head Office and regional finance teams on monthly reporting, intercompany transactions and group finance matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant professional qualifications
- At least 5 years’ accounting experience, including hands-on use of 1C accounting software
- Strong analytical skills, an eye for detail and solid MS Office capability
- Positive, proactive attitude
- Able to work well under pressure and to deadlines
- Professional working proficiency in English
