Mining Specialist - Junior Mining Platform

We are seeking an experienced Mining Specialist to support the development and operation of the Junior Mining Platform. This role will focus on the technical assessment of mineral exploration and mining projects, geological due diligence, project screening, and supporting investor engagement across Kazakhstan's mining sector. This is a hands-on role requiring strong geological expertise and the ability to evaluate projects at various stages of the mining lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and day-to-day operations of the Junior Mining Platform.
• Conduct geological and technical assessment of exploration and mining projects.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of mining projects and ensure the quality of geological data within the project repository.
• Review and analyze geological reports, resource estimates, exploration results, and technical documentation.
• Perform initial project screening and due diligence against platform criteria.
• Collect, verify, and maintain up-to-date geological and project information.
• Support communication between project sponsors, technical experts, and investors.
• Assist in organizing investor roadshows, technical presentations, and industry events.
• Prepare analytical reports, investment materials, and technical summaries.
• Contribute to the enhancement of project evaluation methodologies and platform processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Economic Geology, Applied Geosciences, or Mining Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in mineral exploration, geology, resource evaluation, or mining project assessment.
• Strong understanding of geological exploration methods, mineral resource estimation, and mining project development.
• Experience reviewing geological reports, technical studies, and exploration data.
• Knowledge of international mining reporting standards (JORC, NI 43-101, or similar) would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Proven ability to engage with mining companies, geologists, investors, and government stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, Russian, and Kazakh.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
