1. About Enterprise Uzbekistan
Enterprise Uzbekistan (IDTC) is a technology jurisdiction created to support global tech businesses, operating under a special legal regime based on elements of English and Welsh law. The organization builds the ecosystem and infrastructure for tech companies.
2. Position Summary
The Event Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of Enterprise Uzbekistan's own events — most notably ICT Week Uzbekistan — as well as coordinating the organization's participation in relevant international tech, investment, and industry events. The role combines hands-on event production with logistics management, vendor and partner coordination, and close collaboration with the team to ensure every event supports Enterprise Uzbekistan's positioning and business goals.
3. Key Responsibilities
Own-event organization
- Plan and deliver Enterprise Uzbekistan's flagship events end-to-end (e.g. ICT Week Uzbekistan): concept, timeline, budget, venue, logistics, run of show.
- Manage vendors, contractors, and venues (production, catering, signage, translation/interpretation, transport, etc.).
- Coordinate speaker and delegate logistics: invitations, travel, accommodation, accreditation, etc.
- Build and track event budgets; manage procurement and payments in coordination with finance.
- Lead on-site event management and act as the main point of contact during the event.
- Run post-event wrap-up: reporting, debrief, lessons learned, asset handover to a wider team.
International event participation
- Maintain and act on the strategic conference/events calendar, identifying priority international tech and investment events for Enterprise Uzbekistan's participation.
- Coordinate logistics for delegation participation abroad: registration, booth/stand arrangements, travel, schedules.
- Liaise with event organizers and partner organizations on participation formats (speaking slots, booths, delegations, side meetings).
- Coordinate with PR/Communications on messaging, materials, and press opportunities tied to each event.
Cross-functional coordination
- Work closely with the Head of PR and Communications team and a wider team to align events with the overall PR strategy and calendar.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (leadership, member companies, government partners) on event requirements.
- Maintain an events operations system: checklists, timelines, vendor database, budget templates.
4. Required Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in event management, preferably including large-scale conferences, forums, or industry exhibitions.
- Experience coordinating participation in international events (booths, delegations, speaking engagements) is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record managing budgets, vendors, and multi-stakeholder logistics.
- Experience in tech, investment, government, or international organization environments is a plus.
- Fluent English required; Russian and/or Uzbek strongly preferred.
5. Skills & Competencies
- Strong project management and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple events/timelines in parallel.
- Negotiation skills with vendors, venues, and partner organizations.
- Calm, solutions-oriented under pressure, especially on-site during live events.
- Attention to detail combined with the ability to move fast.
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders and international partners.
- Proficiency with standard office/PM tools (Excel, project trackers); experience with event platforms is a plus.
