Accountant, Uzbekistan

As an Accountant for Intrepid Travel Uzbekistan, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly across our Central Asia trip operations.

Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile financial transactions in a timely manner, while supporting payments, payroll activities and day-to-day finance tasks.
• Collaborate with our Tour Leaders to ensure their accounts are accurate, reconciled, and ready for each trip.
• Support the reconciliation of trip expenses and payments made from our Uzbekistan office
• Handle bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Keep our finance documentation and administration on track by supporting import and export documentation, 1C postings, supplier invoice checks
• Prepare payments through banking systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years' experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable, cash flow management & bank journals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications, with hands-on experience in accounting software (such as 1C, D365 or similar).
• Experience working in accounting within travel & tourism would be advantageous.

• Ability to travel to and work on-site in our upcoming office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
