Manager / Senior Manager, International Tax Services

A Manager / Senior Manager in EY’s International Tax Services practice is involved in delivering complex tax advisory projects for multinational and large local clients. The role combines technical tax expertise, project management responsibilities, and client-facing activities, while also contributing to team development and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory

• Advise clients on international tax matters, including:
  • tax structuring of cross-border operations;
  • permanent establishment issues;
  • taxation of cross-border transactions and income flows;
  • application of double taxation treaties.

• Transfer Pricing

• Participate in transfer pricing projects, including collaboration with the TP team on integrated tax engagements and multidisciplinary projects.

• Technical Deliverables

• Prepare and review:
  • tax memoranda and technical opinions;
  • tax-efficient structures and recommendations;
  • analytical materials for clients and internal teams.
• Project Management
• Manage project delivery, including:
  • planning timelines and resource allocation;
  • monitoring quality and adherence to deadlines;
  • coordinating the work of junior team members.

• Client Relationship Management

• Participate in client meetings and discussions;
• Present and discuss tax approaches and solutions;
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships.

• Business Development

• Support the preparation of proposals and pitches;
• Contribute to client portfolio expansion and business growth initiatives;
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and provide mentorship to junior professionals.

• Requirements

• University degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Experience in international taxation gained in a consulting firm, Big Four environment, or multinational company.
• Strong understanding of:
  • international tax law;
  • tax aspects of cross-border transactions;
  • transfer pricing principles (sufficient to effectively collaborate with TP specialists).
• Proven experience in project management and client relationship management.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Additional Requirements for Senior Manager Level

• Extensive experience independently managing clients and leading complex tax projects.
• Demonstrated involvement in business development and acquisition of new engagements.
• Strong leadership capabilities, including mentoring managers and consultants.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to address complex, high-risk tax matters and provide practical solutions.
