We are looking for a 3C (Character, Camera, Control) Game Designer Designer to join the Core Game Design team of our upcoming single-player third-person action game – SPINE.
SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It's a third-person beat'em'up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.
Responsibilities:
Tune and improve player movement mechanics
Add new movement elements (e.g., zipline traversal) and parkour tricks (e.g., vaulting over new obstacle types)
Design and fine-tune the game camera
Write feature documentation, coordinate with other teams, and assign tasks to animators, programmers, technical game designers, etc
What we are looking for::
Would be a plus:
Technical background (e.g., technical education, experience as a programmer or technical game designer)
Experience in full-cycle game development
Experience working in large teams
Hands-on gaming experience with action genre games
Collaborating with combat system designers on related features
