We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems. You will play a key role across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security of applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable backend systems and microservices architecture
- Manage tasks across the software development lifecycle from design to deployment
- Ensure application performance, uptime, scalability, and responsiveness
- Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and system design
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
- Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Implement security and data protection measures, including secure authentication (SSO)
- Develop and maintain backend applications, APIs, and services
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulations
- Stay up to date with modern technologies and continuously improve systems
Requirements & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in backend/software development
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in API development (REST, RPC, SOAP) and microservices architecture
- Experience with Git, Maven, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure or AWS)
- Experience with SSO solutions (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ) is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English, with good organizational and time-management abilities
