About the Role

The Canadian School of Tashkent is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to support the school's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budget monitoring, compliance, and vendor payment management, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and accounting standards.
Budget Monitoring & Control
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget.
Track departmental expenditures and analyze budget variances.
Compliance & Audit Support
Ensure compliance with tax, labor, and financial regulations of Uzbekistan.
Support internal and external audits.
Maintain proper financial documentation and records.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Process purchase orders and vendor payments.
Maintain vendor records and payment schedules.
Support procurement processes and contract administration.

Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
ACCA, CPA, or other professional accounting qualifications will be an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Experience in financial reporting.
Experience in educational institutions is preferred.
Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software especially in 1C Accounting.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Fluency in English
