Summary of the role: The Transport Manager is responsible to the Health and Safety Department's Head for the maintenance, repair, documentation and general administration of the vehicle fleet. This includes ensuring full compliance with the relevant legislation. The transport manager is responsible for the completion and safe retention of all driver and vehicle records and for their production to all relevant enforcement agencies including the Police and the relevant local authorities.

2. Skills and qualifications:

2.1. A person with a higher/secondary/incomplete professional education is eligible to be appointed to the position of the Transport Manager.

- Knowledge of English, Kazakh and Russian languages

- Relevant experience ( logistics, drivers of tracks/vehicles coordination).

The goals and objectives of the Transport Manager are as follows:

3.1. organization of passenger transportation

3.2. supervision of the contractors’ services

4. Job responsibilities:

The Transport Manager:

1. organizes the pick-up/drop-off of the school students;

2. conducts monitoring of the transport services market

3. organizes the competitive selection of suppliers, works with suppliers of transport services of the school,

4. plans and implements inspections of vehicles involved in passenger transportation; provides their initial inspection;

5. instructs the personnel of the transport organization, providing information on current safety standards, internal policies and procedures related to the protection of children;

6. ensures quality control of transport services provided by the supplier, availability of vehicles for passenger transportation, their maintenance and operation;

7. controls the availability of permits from the service provider for the passenger transportation;

8. controls the involvement of the transport service provider of accompanying personnel for the transportation of passengers;

9. organizes trainings with the staff of the service provider;

10. fulfills the requirements of internal policies, procedures, instructions, legislative and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan related to the performance of assigned duties;

11. informs management of any changes that may affect compliance with established safety requirements;

12. examines and analyzes the quality of the current operating conditions of vehicles;

13. monitors regulatory requirements for the transportation of passengers and the operation of motor vehicles;

14. initiates and monitors the implementation of projects in the field of passenger transportation safety; ensures their promotion and the involvement of most employees in these programs;

15. forms groups of students for pick-up/drop-off engaging academic and administrative staff, parents and legal representatives;

16. develops routes for the movement of vehicles during pick-up/drop-off of students;

17. makes suggestions on the use of software and mobile solutions for passenger transportation support;

18. informs the involved participants in the passenger transportation process about the results of the provision of services;

19. participates in the investigation of the circumstances of accidents and incidents on the involved transport during the provision of services;

20. performs registration and storage of documentation on the organization of passenger transportation, in accordance with established regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, internal policies and procedures;

21. develops and implements internal procedures, instructions, regulations, plans, and programs in the field of passenger transportation safety; ensures their compliance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the requirements of the company;

22. fulfills the health and safety requirements, hygiene and sanitation, fire and industrial safety requirements, labor discipline during all types of work in school departments, as well as fulfills all established requirements regarding environmental aspects, hazards and risks;

23. performs individual official assignments determined by the direct head of the premises, health and safety department;

24. if required, he/she may be involved in the performance of his/her duties overtime, in accordance with the procedure provided for by the provisions of the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
