Sales Executive is responsible for managing the relationships of assigned mid-size accounts and driving new business to the hotel. Achieves personal and team related revenue goals. Ensures business is turned over properly and in timely fashion for proper service delivery. Ensures compliance with Ritz-Carlton Operating Standards to maintain brand integrity.
Core Responsibilities:
- Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Sales, Accounting) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
- Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott, including up-selling.
- Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Assist management in training and motivating employees; serve as a role model.
- Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
Critical competences:
- Strong sales skills.
- Possesses systems knowledge (MARSHA, Opera) and software knowledge (Microsoft Office, etc).
- Weekly prospecting and soliciting goals.
- Uncovering new customers.
- Aggressive negotiating skills and creative selling abilities.
- Strong customer development and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they affect department.
- Knowledge of contract management.
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards.
- Advanced level of English
