Import Procurement Manager for Medical Supplies

Responsibilities:

• Represent the university and project teams in meetings with international business partners

• Lead and support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, technical specifications, delivery terms, and warranties

• Prepare and deliver presentations for vendors, partners, and internal leadership

• Manage the full import process, including documentation, customs clearance, shipping coordination, and compliance

• Maintain ongoing communication with international suppliers, track shipment status, and resolve issues

• Support supplier selection by reviewing proposals and comparing technical specifications

• Collaborate with other departments and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of imported goods

• Build and maintain a network of trusted international suppliers, especially in medical and educational technology sectors

• Ensure all procurement activities comply with university rules and Uzbekistan import regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical, Business, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field

• Experience in import or procurement, preferably in medical or technical sectors

• Strong understanding of customs clearance, HS codes, and import documentation

• Knowledge of INCOTERMS and import regulations

• Experience working with international suppliers

• Proficiency in Excel and at least one procurement/logistics platform

• Basic understanding of medical equipment categories

Key Skills:

• Excellent communication in English, Russian, and Uzbek

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive

• Strong coordination and follow-up skills

• Ability to work under deadlines and manage pressure

Desirable:

• Existing network of trusted suppliers or logistics providers

• Experience in universities, hospitals, or government procurement

• Familiarity with Ministry of Health import rules

• Willingness to travel
