Associate / Senior Associate (Tax)

Dentons Kazakhstan is seeking a talented and driven Lawyer / Senior Associate to join its Tax Practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex and high-profile tax matters, advising leading local and multinational clients as part of a globally recognized law firm.

What you will do

• Advise clients on a wide range of tax matters, including structuring, risk assessment, and tax disputes
• Lead and manage tax litigation projects, including drafting legal opinions, appeals, and court submissions
• Develop legal strategies and positions on complex tax issues
• Represent clients in interactions with tax authorities and in court proceedings
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
• Conduct in-depth legal and tax research and analysis

What we are looking for

• Law degree (a degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting, or Economics is an advantage)
• 3+ years of relevant experience in tax consulting and/or tax litigation
• Strong technical knowledge of tax law and practical experience handling tax disputes
• LL.M. or equivalent degree from a leading university is a plus
• Fluency in English and Russian is essential
