ABOUT THE ROLE

As an AI Engineer specializing in trade finance infrastructure for B2B commerce, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of our trade finance systems. You will work on cutting-edge technologies to automate and optimize risk assessment, fraud detection, document verification, and predictive analytics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop AI and machine learning models to automate and improve trade finance processes such as credit risk assessment, transaction verification, and document processing.

• Build scalable AI solutions for trade finance infrastructure, focusing on optimizing workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.

• Work closely with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to integrate AI solutions with existing trade finance platforms and applications.

• Design and implement advanced analytics models for fraud detection, risk analysis, and compliance monitoring.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI models are aligned with business needs and objectives.

• Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new AI technologies and methodologies relevant to the trade finance domain.

• Ensure that AI solutions meet regulatory and industry standards, including data privacy and security.

• Continuously monitor and improve AI models to ensure they remain effective and aligned with evolving business needs and emerging market trends.

• Document and communicate AI model development processes, including results, challenges, and improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years of experience deploying AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. (Fewer years considered if your skills are exceptional — we encourage you to apply.)

• Proven experience developing and deploying AI/ML models for real-world applications.

• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including NLP and computer vision.

• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-learn.

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.

• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and databases (SQL, NoSQL).

• Understanding of AI ethics, security principles, and bias mitigation techniques.

• Solid knowledge of trade finance processes and financial services regulations (e.g., letters of credit, supply chain finance).

• Experience working in Fintech, B2B commerce, or SME-focused technology projects.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
