A mid-level Retail Operations Data Analyst is required for a role that combines analytics (50%) with strong cross-functional communication and support for store teams (50%). The successful candidate will develop reports, analyze business performance, and work closely with store leaders to improve operations, customer experience, and merchandising effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting (50%)
- Develop and maintain Store Operations reporting and dashboards.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.
- Create reports with clear KPIs, metrics, and visualizations.
- Ensure data accuracy through validation and quality checks.
- Analyze trends, patterns, and performance using statistical methods.
- Build data models and forecasts to support business decisions.
- Apply structured analytical approaches (e.g., BADIR) to solve business problems.
Business Support & Communication (50%)
- Partner with store leaders to support operational decision-making.
- Communicate insights clearly to corporate and field teams.
- Support store teams with data interpretation and report usage.
- Act as a bridge between Operations, Merchandising, and BI teams.
- Contribute to improving customer service and store performance.
- Support merchandising execution through relevant reporting.
- Assist the Operations Planning & Analysis Manager with budgeting processes.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Required: 1+ year of experience in retail operations.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in retail or data-related roles.
- Experience with business requirements, functional specifications, and testing.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
- Experience with SQL or relational databases.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
Core Competencies:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- English B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher.
Work Environment
- Remote work at the beginning, then hybrid model (minimum 3 days per week in the office in Gomel or Minsk).
- A reliable home workspace is required (computer, stable internet, video capability).
