Senior IT Support / Infrastructure Engineer

Andersen is hiring a Senior IT Support / Infrastructure Engineer to provide engineering support across multiple projects, ensuring stable operations, integration, and infrastructure reliability.

The customer is an organization operating in the professional services domain, offering a range of support functions to businesses and individuals. It follows a client-oriented approach, focusing on long-term cooperation and adaptable solutions. The company incorporates general industry practices and selectively uses modern tools to enhance service delivery and support decision-making processes.

The project is focused on providing vendor-side engineering support across multiple internal and client-driven initiatives. It involves working on various projects, contributing to development, maintenance, and integration of tasks within a dynamic, multi-project environment.

Responsibilities:

• Acting as escalation contact for Level 2 and Level 3 incidents.
• Delivering client support via email, phone, remote access, and onsite visits.
• Troubleshooting complex servers, networking, Microsoft 365, and security issues.
• Using IT support systems to log and monitor issues and maintain a knowledge base.
• Liaising with external IT vendors as needed.
• Assisting with planning and delivering projects including server builds, 365 migrations, network installs, and security rollouts.
• Quoting, installing, configuring, and testing hardware, software, and networking equipment.
• Ensuring changes follow best practices and minimise client downtime.
• Assisting with senior staff with scoping, capturing and presenting security audits.
• Performing system maintenance, patching, backup and disaster recovery testing.
• Monitoring and maintaining client environments using RMM tools.
• Mentoring junior technicians and sharing knowledge.
• Collaborating with management to improve service delivery.
• Notifying Technology Director of serious network or software issues.
• Keeping relevant staff informed on progress, as per service levels and ensuring resolution or escalation.
• Communicating clearly with clients to understand needs and set expectations.
• Recommending system improvements for better performance and security.
• Building strong relationships through trust and reliable service.

Must-haves:

• Experience in IT support or related roles for 5+ years.
• Strong expertise in Azure.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 services.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• In-depth understanding of networking (VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching).
• Proven experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies.
• Good knowledge of security tools and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.

Nice to haves:

• Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco).
