Mission: The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for implementing sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage activities within their assigned portfolio. The primary goal is to maximize supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and lead time while supporting the overall business plan.
Core Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Launch, award, and implement sourcing projects with documented action plans and timelines.
- Strategic Sourcing: Conduct comprehensive RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes and bidding cycles to minimize risk and maximize value.
- Supplier Selection: Select a high-performance supply base from a preferred list defined by Category Managers.
- Contract Management: Initiate, review, and negotiate supplier contracts and terms in coordination with Sourcing Managers and Contract Specialists.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate Vendor Master Data and assign products/materials for specific jobs.
Operational Execution:
- Supplier Evaluation: Conduct site visits, audits, and reviews in coordination with Supplier Quality teams to ensure on-time delivery and service.
- Quality Assurance: Drive parts and process qualification efforts alongside Quality teams.
- Supply Continuity: Work closely with Sourcing Leadership to guarantee uninterrupted supply for assigned portfolios.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement actions to reduce waste in time, money, and resources.
- Compliance: Strictly adhere to Schlumberger (SLB) and local procedures applicable to the procurement function.
