HUB SHIPPING an opening for Lawyer based in St-Petersburg reporting to Russia Manager-Legal.

HUB SHIPPING is a global transport organization engaged in shipping and multimodal transport. Provision of comprehensive legal support to a logistics and forwarding business. Provision of legal support on special and strategical growth projects, support to other departments and teams in practical arrangement of corresponding legal processes.

Main responsibilities:

• Direct participation in planning and legal support of:

- full specter of company’s new and existing logistics products;

- development and implementation of new products (as per newly introduced strategy of company to provide end-to-end logistics solutions);

- special company’s projects (outside of core maritime shipping business), strategic partnerships and joint ventures with commercial companies and state bodies;

• Represent interests of the Company in the court, arbitration court, and in state and public organizations at discussion of legal issues;
• Direct representation of company’s interests towards state bodies and controlling authorities, including participation in legislation activity through participation in roundtables and provision of official comments on legal initiatives;
• Organize reliable and expert circulation of contractual documentation of the Company;
• Development and implementation of new forms of contracts and agreements;
• Principals corporate documents update upon requirements of Russian legislation;
• Handle claims, litigation issues, including drawing up and executing claims, complaints and other demands to third parties and state bodies;
• Provision of legal support to other departments of the Company within competence (HR, Finance, IT etc.)
• Other legal matters (meetings with customers, law projects discussions; contracts interpretation; statutory interpretation; etc.).

Required background and experience

Core skills and competences, which might be considered as advantage (provision of examples by candidate is appreciated):

• Experience and expertise in legal support business with foreign element;
• Experience and expertise in legal support for forwarding and logistics business in international companies;
• Experience in legal negotiations with commercial companies, banks and state bodies on complex projects;
• Minimum 5 years of experience with commercial logistics companies and from 10 years general experience as lawyer;
• Knowledge of international Trade Law, Civil Law, Customs and Currency Law;
