About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our finance team in a logistics and freight forwarding company. This is an entry-level position for a candidate eager to build practical accounting skills under the guidance of experienced finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Record supplier invoices and assist with vendor reconciliations
- Enter financial transactions into the accounting system (invoices, payments, adjustments)
- Help prepare supporting documentation for VAT, CIT, and payroll-related filings
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and internal reporting
- Issue and verify electronic documents via state portals within required deadlines
- Organize and maintain financial records and archives
- Coordinate with other departments to collect invoices and supporting documents
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or final-year student)
- Basic knowledge of Kazakhstan accounting standards and tax legislation is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with 1C or similar accounting software is an advantage
- Strong English level — mandatory (written and verbal, used daily in team communication)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable with deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
