Design Engineer for Aluminum Systems

Crystalia Glass LLC is a leading supplier of premium glass and aluminum structures for residential and commercial projects across North America. Our clients include SpaceX, Nike, Starbucks, Bank of America, Yves Saint Laurent, and many others.

The company was founded in 2017 in New York and is rapidly growing. We have offices in Los Angeles, Florida, and Texas, and our projects are implemented throughout the United States.

We are looking for a Design Engineer for Aluminum Systems —
a specialist with a strong understanding of aluminum profile design, extrusion principles, and the specifics of assembling aluminum structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Development: Design and engineer new interior aluminum partitions and facade glazing systems with integrated thermal break solutions.
• Profile Engineering: Develop custom aluminum profiles, ensuring they meet structural requirements and extrusion feasibility.
• Hardware Integration: Design the integration of fittings and hardware, specifying exact attachment methods, milling, and cutting requirements.
• 3D Modeling & CAD: Create high-precision 3D models of components and complex assemblies in SolidWorks (or Kompas-3D).
• Production Support: Prepare technical documentation for production launch, including tolerance calculations, assembly diagrams, and cutting lists.
• Technical Detailing: Bridge the gap between design and manufacturing by calculating precise tolerances and fitments.

Requirements:

• English B1+, Russian/Ukrainian B2
• Ability to analyze and optimize design solutions in terms of cost, time, and resources
• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions
• Ability to work with project documentation at various stages of development, including sketches, working drawings, and specifications
• Experience interacting with suppliers and production departments to clarify technical requirements
• Experience with glass structures (partitions, railings, interior doors, swing doors, sliding systems, windbreak panels)
