Technical Consultant (Kazakhstan)

• Develop a deep understanding of customer business objectives, technical requirements, and decision-making drivers.

• Lead the technical positioning of enterprise infrastructure solutions, clearly articulating their value and differentiation.

• Support pre-sales and professional services activities across storage and data infrastructure technologies within the company portfolio.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, and internal sales teams.

• Provide technical leadership on enterprise storage, distributed architectures, file systems, and DAS / NAS / SAN environments.

• Lead or support POCs, benchmarks, system configurations, and solution deployments.

• Design and deliver technical presentations, architecture workshops, and solution briefings.

• Translate customer requirements into scalable, high-performance, and resilient architectures.

• Contribute to or lead technical responses to RFI, RFP, and RFQ documents.

• Collaborate with technology vendors and partners on roadmap alignment, interoperability, and solution validation.

• Work with technical marketing teams to develop solution documentation, whitepapers, and enablement materials.

• Track market trends and competitive landscapes, contributing to technical thought leadership within the organization.

Requirements:

• Ability to work in Kazakhstan.

• Proven experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or professional services roles.

• 5–10 years of experience supporting enterprise storage, data infrastructure, or systems solutions.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise storage platforms.

• Solid understanding of storage architectures: FC, iSCSI, NAS, SAN.

• Experience with UNIX/Linux environments, NFS file systems, and distributed networking.

• Knowledge of virtualization platforms and storage subsystem architectures.

• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, on-premise and public cloud models, automation, and container technologies.

• Familiarity with virtualization platforms and core networking concepts (Ethernet, TCP/IP).

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

• Russian language skills are a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).

• Familiarity with modern application architectures (scale-out vs. scale-up, NoSQL) is an advantage.

• Application-level knowledge is highly desirable.
