About Role

We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join our team in Limassol. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to operational, financial, compliance, and cybersecurity activities, with a strong focus on crypto-asset operations and regulatory compliance.

This role requires close collaboration with compliance, IT security, and operational teams to ensure that the company maintains robust risk management practices aligned with CySEC and MiCAR (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) requirements.

Responsibilities:

Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance

• Identify, assess, and monitor operational, financial, compliance, and cybersecurity risks.
• Develop and implement risk management frameworks aligned with CySEC and MiCAR requirements.
• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations and internal risk policies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analyses related to crypto-asset activities.
• Monitor emerging risks in the crypto asset market, including volatility, liquidity, and custody risks.
• Report risk exposure and mitigation strategies to senior management and, when required, to regulatory authorities such as CySEC.
• Maintain comprehensive risk documentation and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
• Contribute to business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery planning (DRP).

Crypto Asset Custody & Safekeeping:

• Oversee the safekeeping and custody of clients’ crypto assets in accordance with CySEC and MiCAR regulations.
• Ensure secure storage and segregation of client assets from company funds, including hot and cold wallet management.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent theft, loss, or unauthorized access to digital assets.
• Maintain accurate records of wallet addresses, asset movements, and balances.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of custodial wallets and client holdings.
• Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity teams to maintain strong security protocols and incident response procedures.
• Ensure AML/CFT compliance related to the source, transfer, and use of crypto assets.
• Collaborate with compliance and legal teams during regulatory reviews or audits.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (Risk Manager / Risk Analyst / Compliance Risk / Crypto Risk).
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of CySEC, MiCAR, AML/CFT regulations, and crypto-asset risk management practices.
• Familiarity with crypto custody processes, wallet management, and asset segregation practices is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with compliance, IT security, and operational teams.
