Deputy Construction Director

VILLACARTE GROUP is a group of companies operating since 2012. We develop and manage premium real estate and hospitality projects in Phuket. Our portfolio includes Layan Green Park, La Vista Villas, Layan Verde, VillaCarte Agency, the proptech project Sabai, and La Green Hotel.

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Construction Director to oversee day-to-day construction operations of a large-scale residential development in Phuket.

Key Focus Areas

• Support the Construction Director in managing all construction activities on site
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal teams
• Monitor performance and ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, and standards

• Track project progress, milestones, and variances
• Apply earned value management for schedule and cost control
• Enforce QA/QC procedures, testing, and inspection requirements

• Identify delays and implement recovery strategies
• Review and validate claims, variations, and payment requests
• Maintain high standards of safety and discipline across the site

• Prepare progress reports and performance dashboards
• Use construction management systems and digital tools for progress tracking, QA/QC, and reporting

We expect you to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Architecture
• 10+ years of experience in construction, including 5+ years in senior project or site management
• Proven record of delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments
• Full-cycle project experience from foundation to handover (mandatory)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Project (mandatory) and Excel for reporting and control
• Familiarity with progress dashboards, cost management, and QA/QC systems
• Structured, disciplined, and proactive working style
• Strong leadership and communication skills under pressure

Language Requirements

• Advanced level of English (required)
• Additional languages will be an advantage
