Job Summary:
The Marketing Officer will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the educational programs of the College of Social Sciences (CSS). This role includes conceptualizing and managing communications campaigns, planning and supporting events, designing advertising and promotional content, and cultivating partnerships with key stakeholders across digital, social, and traditional media platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess strong creative, strategic, and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to enhance the visibility, reputation, and brand positioning of CSS among prospective students, academic partners, and the broader community. Proficiency in leveraging generative Al tools to streamline content creation, campaign management, analytics, and workflow optimization is essential.
This position requires close collaboration with CSS administrative and academic staff to support the implementation of ongoing programs, policies, and strategic initiatives. While the primary focus will be on marketing and communications components of these efforts, the role may also include providing broader administrative support when necessary to ensure the effective execution of College-level priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Promotion:
- Develop and implement strategic marketing campaigns to promote CSS undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs.
- Design and manage digital advertising content, including social media, email marketing, and website updates.
- Oversee traditional marketing efforts, such as print advertisements, brochures, and promotional materials etc.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Database collection
Communications & Branding:
- Craft compelling messaging that aligns with the college’s academic and research strengths.
- Manage CSS’s presence on social media platforms, ensuring consistent engagement with key audiences.
- Develop and maintain press releases, newsletters, and internal/external communications.
- Ensure all marketing materials align with KIMEP University’s brand guidelines.
Event Planning & Public Relations:
- Organize and coordinate promotional events, webinars, open houses, and recruitment fairs.
- Build partnerships with media outlets and key influencers to increase program visibility.
- Work closely with faculty and staff to support program-specific outreach initiatives.
Liaison & Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain relationships with schools, public and private organizations, and partner universities to support student recruitment and program promotion.
- Develop outreach programs to engage with high school counselors, community leaders, and prospective students.
- Represent CSS at external events, conferences, and collaboration meetings with academic and industry partners.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred, but experience can offset education requirements.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles, preferably in higher education.
- Strong content creation skills, including writing, graphic design, and video production.
- Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to measure campaign success through data-driven insights.
- Adept at using generative Al for various applications.
Required Software Proficiency:
- Graphic Design & Visual Content Creation: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva
- Video Editing & Multimedia Production: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut
- Digital Marketing including social media marketing and email marketing: Facebook & Instagram Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok promotion
- Website Management
