We are seeking a high-caliber Systems Engineer to finalize a mission-critical automated inspection system. The project involves high-speed image acquisition using Basler ace (2440-20gm) sensors to decode DataMatrix (2D) codes within a complex industrial environment.
The current system architecture exhibits latency issues and synchronization bottlenecks. We require a specialist to refactor the processing pipeline, ensure 100% operational stability, and eliminate real-time execution lags.
Technical Specifications & Responsibilities:
Optimization: Implement advanced buffer management and frame-grabbing strategies (Pylon SDK) to ensure zero-latency synchronization between the sensor and the processing unit.
Pipeline Engineering: Refactor the current Python-based stack to a robust, non-blocking architecture (utilizing Multiprocessing/AsyncIO or C++ integration where necessary).
Vision Algorithm: Enhance decoding reliability of high-density 10x10mm DataMatrix codes using advanced ROI (Region of Interest) segmentation and pre-processing filters (OpenCV/Zxing-cpp).
On-Site Deployment: Direct integration and stress-testing on the production line to ensure 24/7 reliability under industrial variables (vibration, thermal drift, and lighting fluctuations).
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience with Basler Pylon SDK and industrial camera interfaces.
Deep understanding of Python GIL limitations and high-performance computing.
Proven track record in DataMatrix/Barcode decoding in high-speed environments.
Ability to work on-site until the system achieves 100% "Zero-Failure" status.
