Tax specialist
The employee in this position is responsible for assisting Cluster Tax Manager and the tax team to ensuring correctness and enforcement of the procedures and processes of the Company and its structural divisions aimed at compliance with tax legislation, timely adaptation of changes in tax and customs legislation in the Company's business and production activities
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with tax, transfer pricing, and customs legislation in Kazakhstan.
- Manage tax administration, including preparation and filing of tax returns (CIT, VAT, excise, payroll, and local taxes) and related controls.
- Review contracts and transactions and provide tax advisory support to business operations.
- Monitor legislative changes, assess business impact, and implement required updates.
- Support tax and customs audits and liaise with external consultants and authorities.
- Participate in tax and cross-functional projects, including tax risk mitigation initiatives.
- Provide tax-related reporting and support to management, HQ, and regional stakeholders.
- Support implementation of tax strategy and effective teamwork within the tax function.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the main provisions of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Knowledge of Kazakhstan and international accounting and financial reporting
standards - University degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience in local or international taxation for at least 2 years
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills & capabilities
- Fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English
- Strong system capabilities in MS Office, SAP, and local KZ system
