Role Overview

Financial Modellist at Dasco Capital is responsible for overseeing investment analysis, financial management, and portfolio performance across the firm’s managed funds within the creative economy sector. The role covers fund-level financial modeling, budgeting, investment evaluation, and preparation of investment documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Financial Management
• Develop, maintain, and update financial models for all managed funds, including capital deployment plans, cash flow forecasts, return scenarios, and sensitivity analyses.
• Oversee fund-level budgeting, including operating expenses, management fees, reserves, and liquidity planning.
• Monitor fund performance versus approved investment strategies and return targets.

Investment & Project Budgeting
• Review, analyze, and validate budgets of invested projects and portfolio companies.

Investment Analysis & Execution
• Lead financial due diligence on prospective investments within the creative economy industries.
• Build and review detailed investment-level financial models, including revenue projections, profitability analysis, break-even scenarios, and downside risk assessments.
• Prepare and present investment memoranda and financial recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Support structuring and negotiation of investment terms, including valuation, ownership, profit participation, recoupment mechanisms, and exit strategies.

Investment Documentation
• Prepare and review investment documentation, including term sheets, investment summaries, and internal approval materials.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, producers, and external advisors to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with investment terms.
• Ensure documentation complies with internal governance frameworks and investor requirements.

Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting
• Track portfolio performance, cash flows, and returns across all managed funds.
• Monitor ongoing financial performance of investments against approved budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare regular internal and investor reports, including financial updates, performance analysis, and portfolio summaries.
• Support fund audits, valuations, and periodic financial reviews.

Strategic & Stakeholder Engagement
• Support capital allocation strategy and investment pipeline development across Dasco Capital’s creative economy funds.
• Work closely with producers, management teams, co-investors, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Contribute to investor communications, fundraising materials, and financial presentations when required.

Risk Management & Governance
• Identify financial, operational, and market risks across investments and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to internal investment policies, risk management frameworks, and compliance standards.
• Maintain strong financial controls, transparency, and documentation discipline.

Qualifications & Experience
• Experience in investment management, fund management, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and investment analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple funds and investment processes concurrently.
