Минск, проспект Дзержинского, 3Б
Метро: ВокзальнаяWe are looking for a strong Lead QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) who does more than just find bugs—someone who can build a systematic approach to product quality and lead a testing team.
You will be responsible for the quality strategy, testing processes, and the development of the QA function within the company: from establishing efficient processes and metrics to mentoring the team and contributing to product decisions.
This role is for someone who wants to have a direct impact on the stability, reliability, and scalability of our products and is not afraid to take ownership of the results.
Direct Manager: CTO
Location: Minsk
Format of work: full-time role with flexible start times and a hybrid setup (4 days in the office, 1 remote)
What You'll Do:
own the overall product quality and lead the QA function across the company;
develop and evolve the testing strategy for web and mobile applications, including processes, approaches, standards, and quality metrics;
manage the QA team: resource planning, task assignment, prioritization, mentoring, and professional development of team members;
drive test automation efforts while maintaining the right balance between manual and automated testing;
participate in release planning, risk assessment, and product decision-making from a quality perspective;
implement and improve CI/CD processes, quality gates, and shift-left testing practices;
analyze defects, incidents, and root causes, and establish preventive measures;
collaborate with product, development, and security teams to ensure product stability and reliability;
define, monitor, and report on quality metrics (e.g., defect rate, test coverage, flaky tests, etc.).
What We Expect from You:
Hard skills
5+ years of experience in QA, including 1–2 years in a QA Lead, QA Manager, or Tech Lead role;
1+ year of practical experience in QA automation;
deep understanding of testing theory, SDLC, and approaches to product-level quality assurance;
hands-on experience in building or scaling QA processes and/or QA teams from scratch;
experience implementing and developing test automation (API, integration, E2E) and understanding test architecture;
strong knowledge of CI/CD, quality gates, and integrating testing into pipelines.
experience working with Docker and test environments;
skills in working with databases and understanding how tests interact with data;
ability to define, monitor, and act on quality metrics (coverage, defect rate, flaky tests, release health, etc.);
experience with test management systems (Allure, TestRail, etc.);
experience creating and maintaining test documentation;
experience developing a test strategy.
Soft skills
experience managing a team: task setting, prioritization, mentoring, and professional development;
strong communication skills: ability to collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams;
systemic thinking and results-oriented mindset, focusing on quality outcomes rather than just the number of tests;
ability to advocate for quality and clearly communicate risks to both business and development teams;
proactive approach: identifying potential issues before they turn into incidents;
accountability: taking full ownership of product quality;
Nice to have:
experience participating in SOC2, ISO, or security audits, or building compliance processes;
experience establishing QA processes in fast-growing teams or startups;
understanding of SRE principles, reliability engineering, and observability (metrics, logs, alerts);
experience with performance/load testing (k6, JMeter, Gatling, etc.);
experience with automated testing for mobile applications;
experience implementing quality gates, release health metrics, and risk-based testing;
experience hiring and onboarding QA engineers;
development background (not required but a strong plus);
experience working with distributed systems and complex microservices architectures.
Perks:
paid vacation+5 personal days per year;
full-time role with flexible start times and a hybrid setup (4 days in the office, 1 remote);
support for growth: we cover professional courses, books, and conferences;
private health insurance (including dental and/or medication coverage);
fast skill growth in a startup-paced environment;
a culture of openness, respect, and honest feedback;
minimal bureaucracy — maximum impact and momentum.
