Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in data analytics, software development, software architecture, system analytics or related fields to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role will focus on analyzing new software features and business processes to deliver insights that improve decision-making, optimize operations, and support product development.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including analytics, scientists, data engineers, QA and business stakeholders
Please note that the position requires relocation to Yerevan, Armenia.
Job responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
- Define success metrics, create an epic, break it down into manageable tasks, and hand it over to software engineers.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple systems (e.g., LIMS, Benchling, Metabase, SQL databases, BI tools).
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and anomalies in usage or calculations.
Process Optimization
- Document current processes and propose improvements for efficiency and scalability.
- Support decision-making on prioritization (ROI, regulatory compliance, cost savings, technical feasibility).
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure shared understanding.
- Present insights and recommendations in a clear, structured manner for technical and non-technical audiences.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure that analytics processes align with GxP, CSV/CSA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation of requirements, test cases, and validation.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in software, biotech, or healthcare.
- Confidence in written and spoken English to ensure clear communication with stakeholders and accurate documentation. Proficiency in conversational Russian.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python for analytics.
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Metabase).
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to create clear documentation (business cases, URS, SRS, test cases, workflows).
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
