Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Financial Specialist/ Controller with substantial experience in a production or manufacturing environment. This role is critical for providing financial leadership, ensuring robust cost control, and delivering actionable insights that directly impact our operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the management team, guiding business decisions through comprehensive financial analysis and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Cost Management:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial control methods and systems across all manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of production costs, overheads, and variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast).
  • Monitor the effectiveness of cost centers and profit centers, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency gains.

Business Planning & Budgeting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the company.
  • Participate in the elaboration of long-term business plans and financial forecasts.
  • Establish and enforce budgetary control rules and methodologies tailored to a manufacturing setting.

Performance & Investment Analysis:

  • Prepare detailed financial analysis reports, including charts and tables, on past and current financial performance.
  • Analyze investment proposals (CAPEX), evaluating their financial viability, risks, and potential return on investment (ROI).
  • Estimate profits and losses associated with new projects, product lines, or major commercial transactions.

Strategic Support & Decision-Making:

  • Act as a key contributor to the development and annual update of the company's strategy. Provide creative alternatives and data-driven recommendations to reduce costs, improve financial performance, and enhance profitability.
  • Analyze economic trends and the industrial landscape to support strategic business decisions.

Reporting & Process Improvement:

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of monthly management reports.
  • Analyze operational processes and develop financial countermeasures to address inefficiencies.
  • Identify trends, monitor variances, and recommend improvements to management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A post-graduate qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CFA) is a strong advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a financial controlling or senior analyst role, specifically within a production, manufacturing, or industrial company.
  • Advanced proficiency in both English and Russian (written and spoken) is mandatory. Thorough knowledge of financial control principles, cost accounting, and management accounting.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong ability to formulate sound reasoning and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
