Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Location: CST Campus, Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Department: Academics
Employment Type: Full-time, 08:00 - 17:00 , Mon-Fri
Reports To: Vice Principal
CST is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to support the learning and development of children ages 4–6. The teacher will deliver play-based, developmentally appropriate instruction in English following CST’s Canadian-aligned Early Years curriculum. The role includes fostering children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in a safe and nurturing environment.
Teaching & Curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with Early Years outcomes
Use play-based and exploratory learning strategies
Integrate storytelling, music, movement, and hands-on activities
Adapt teaching methods to support diverse learners
Assessment & Documentation
Observe and document children’s development and learning
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and behavior
Provide timely feedback and prepare progress reports
Classroom Environment & Child Well-being
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
Promote independence, cooperation, and emotional regulation
Apply positive behavior guidance and restorative approaches
Professional Collaboration
Participate in Early Years team meetings and professional learning
Contribute to curriculum planning and school improvement initiatives
Work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity across classes
Communication & Family Engagement
Maintain positive communication with parents and colleagues
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school community events
School Life & Co-Curricular Participation
Support or lead Early Years clubs, activities, and events
Contribute to school-wide celebrations and community programs
Education
High school diploma required
Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field preferred
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with children ages 4–6
Prior experience in a classroom, early childhood center, or childcare setting preferred
Experience in an international or Canadian-aligned environment is an asset
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of early childhood development
Warm, patient, and child-centered approach
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Fluency in English required;
Provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction
Use assessment effectively to support learning
Maintain a positive, nurturing classroom environment
Collaborate professionally with staff and families
Participate actively in school events and Early Years programs
