Join a discreet, internationally active family office headquartered in Limassol. As our sole legal leader, you will report to the CEO and work closely with the Beneficiary and a small circle of trusted advisors. You’ll shape structures and transactions across Cyprus, the EU and other jurisdictions, covering operating companies, funds and real estate. This is a long‑term, stable in‑house role with genuine influence, high ownership and a mandate to build best‑practice governance.
Responsibilities:
- Own the legal function for the family office, set the agenda, prioritise matters, and deliver timely, practical advice to the Beneficiary.
- Handle local Cyprus corporate, immigration/migration and residency topics.
- Establish SPVs/holding companies in various jurisdictions, maintain corporate records, filings, resolutions, share transfers, and changes in structure/management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements (services, investments, loans, NDAs, intra‑group agreements, escrow and security documentation).
- Asset acquisitions and dispositions, support purchases both as asset deals and via share acquisitions of asset‑holding companies, coordinate due diligence and closing mechanics.
- Select, brief, and manage external counsel, fiduciaries, and tax advisors. Work closely with internal accountants and tax specialists.
- Identify legal risks, monitor regulatory changes, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations and policies.
- Lead initiatives from structuring and planning through implementation and post‑closing support.
Requirements: - 5+ years of relevant post‑qualification experience with strong international / cross‑border exposure. Prior experience in a family office / private wealth / HNWI environment and Background in consulting or Big 4 (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) is a major advantage.
- Solid background in corporate law and transactions (PE/M&A/private investments or comparable complex commercial work).
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently as the lead/sole counsel, exercise sound judgement, and deliver pragmatic solutions under time pressure.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across commercial, investment, and intra‑group documentation.
- Experience coordinating work across multiple jurisdictions and steering external counsel.
- Languages: English and Russian—strong working proficiency (written and spoken).
- Law degree from a recognised university (MSU, MGIMO, HSE University is an advantage).
- Highly organised, reliable and business‑oriented; able to manage several matters in parallel and drive them to completion.
