Role: PMC – Site Civil Engineer
Reports to: PMC Site Manager
1. General Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor civil and structural works carried out by the EPC Contractor at site.
Ensure all civil works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Act as the PMC’s on-site representative for civil engineering discipline, coordinating between EPC, Owner, and PMC management.
Maintain daily oversight of work progress, manpower, equipment, and materials.
Ensure civil works are carried out safely, on schedule, and within the defined scope.
2. Pre-Construction & Site Preparation
Review and approve construction method statements, ITPs, and risk assessments for civil works.
Verify survey benchmarks, reference points, and earthwork levels prior to construction.
Monitor site clearing, grading, access road preparation, fencing, and drainage systems.
Check and certify soil compaction, subgrade quality, and foundation preparation.
3. Structural Works Supervision
Supervise foundations, pile works, inverter station pads, transformer foundations, control buildings, fence structures, and equipment plinths.
Verify concrete mix design, rebar placement, formwork, and curing procedures.
Witness concrete pouring and ensure correct sampling for compressive strength tests.
Ensure all structural steel and reinforced concrete works meet design tolerances and QA/QC requirements.
Check alignment, elevation, and position of installed structures against IFC drawings.
4. PV Module & Cable Trench Civil Interfaces
Supervise racking/pile installation works and verify pile embedment depth and verticality.
Ensure trenching and duct bank works are executed per electrical layout and civil drawings.
Verify proper bedding, backfilling, and compaction in cable trenches and culverts.
Monitor foundations for switchgear rooms, BESS containers, and transformer yards.
5. Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Ensure EPC contractor adheres to the approved QA/QC plan for civil works.
Conduct inspection requests (IRs) and witness hold points per ITP.
Maintain and review civil inspection reports, test results, and nonconformance reports (NCRs).
Verify use of approved materials and suppliers.
Support quality audits and ensure proper closeout of NCRs and punch lists.
6. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
Enforce compliance with the project HSE plan for all civil construction activities.
Ensure method statements and risk assessments are implemented at site.
Stop and report any unsafe act or unsafe condition immediately.
Participate in daily toolbox talks and weekly HSE walkdowns.
Ensure civil works areas are environmentally compliant (dust, waste, erosion control).
7. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Record daily progress, manpower, equipment, weather, and material usage.
Verify EPC’s progress measurement system and certify completed quantities.
Identify and report delays, obstructions, or technical issues affecting schedule.
Provide weekly reports and photo documentation to the Construction Manager.
Support preparation of monthly progress reports and input for schedule updates.
8. Coordination & Interface Management
Coordinate civil interfaces with mechanical, electrical, and BESS teams.
Ensure alignment between civil, structural, and electrical grounding systems.
Attend coordination meetings with EPC and other stakeholders.
Provide technical clarification to EPC contractor within PMC’s authority limits.
9. Testing, Commissioning, and Handover
Ensure completion of all civil works punch lists prior to mechanical completion.
Verify as-built drawings and test records for civil and structural works.
Support handover inspections and documentation for Owner acceptance.
Ensure site areas are restored, leveled, and cleared as per environmental and handover requirements.
10. Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain an up-to-date log of inspections, test results, correspondence, and drawings.
Ensure EPC submits as-built documentation in correct format and completeness.
Maintain daily site diary, RFI log, and material delivery register.
Contribute to the project closeout documentation for the civil discipline.
11. Professional Conduct
Uphold PMC’s standards for ethics, impartiality, and technical excellence.
Promote effective teamwork, communication, and cooperation across all project teams.
Represent PMC and the Owner with professionalism and technical competence in all site dealings.

Inside the site transport, PPE and laptop will be provided.
Food, accomodation and transportation is included in the salary.
