Upwork Specialist / Platform Manager

We’re looking for a proactive Upwork specialist to manage up to 3 freelancer accounts + our company profile. You’ll write proposals, optimize profiles, track performance, and collaborate with the sales team by qualifying and handing off leads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow up to 3 individual Upwork freelancer profiles

• Operate and maintain the company’s agency profile

• Create and continuously optimize profiles: descriptions, titles, portfolios, and skills

• Daily monitoring of job listings and submission of tailored proposals (up to 30/day across accounts)

• Track responses, proposal performance, and optimize based on analytics

• Manage and monitor Upwork Ads (if applicable)

• Qualify leads from Upwork and handover relevant ones to the sales team

• Collaborate closely with sales to align on ideal client profiles and service offerings

• Join introductory calls with clients (optional but preferred) to support handoff and conversion

• Work closely with tech, product, and marketing teams to ensure aligned positioning

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Upwork (as freelancer, agency, or account manager)

• Strong knowledge of profile optimization, proposal writing, and lead qualification

• Good understanding of IT services, tech roles, and stacks (Frontend, Backend, ML, Fullstack, etc.)

• Solid written English (B2+), with confidence to join video or voice calls in English

• Familiarity with tools like Trello, Notion, Google Sheets

• Proactive mindset and ability to work independently

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Upwork Ads

• Basic sales experience or involvement in closing B2B deals

• Good understanding of IT services, tech roles, and stacks

• Experience with other freelance platforms (e.g. Freelancer, Toptal)
