Andersen, an international IT company, invites an experienced Business Analyst for a digital bank. The project involves building a flexible core banking platform for processing accounts and performing financial operations.
The customer is a new kind of bank founded in 2016. It focuses on distinct client segments that are underserved by the market, creating innovative products to meet their needs. The company offers white-labeled products with no upfront investment for certain industries and businesses.
The project is to build banking technology with class-leading flexibility for clients. At the core of this platform is consumer account processing infrastructure that is able to process client account events and perform financial computations.
Responsibilities:
- Providing project-level analysis and producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan).
- Working closely with business units to gain an in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the operational context.
- Running workshops, one-on-one interviews, and working group sessions to elicit detailed requirements from key stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Finance, etc.).
- Designing and gaining support for new business operating models and processes.
- Analyzing and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Creating detailed process flows, acceptance criteria, and data specifications to support User Stories.
- Reviewing draft requirements with product owners, functional SMEs, and/or relevant build partners.
- Preparing documentation for sign-off and hosting design review sessions or working group meetings with stakeholders and multiple SMEs.
- Resolving design-related queries during implementation and/or building.
- Working closely with stakeholders to develop training materials and provide support to internal teams to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, features, or changes.
- Contributing to agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to ensure alignment with the development team’s activities (where required).
Must-haves:
- Experience as a Business Analyst for 3+ years.
- Industry related qualifications (banking experience is a must) and certification.
- Demonstrable track record in technical analysis and requirements gathering.
- The ability to translate business concepts into technical requirements (and vice versa when explaining concepts to stakeholders).
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders and varying levels within organizations.
- Experience using Business Analysis and change tools such as Jira, Confluence, GSuite, LucidChart or similar.
- Excellent verbal reasoning and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experienced in Agile delivery methods and practices, especially User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
