🚀 We are looking for an Payroll Specialist for our Finance Department!
Position Objective:
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations within the Payroll cycle
- Monitoring and analyzing payroll data and producing internal reports for Cyprus, and others, if any
- Collaborating with other team members and divisions to ensure the correctness of data processing
- Identifying and reporting any potential risks or internal control issues within the Payroll cycle, and working closely on the implementation of appropriate solutions
Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll processes, labour and tax legislation (with a focus on Cyprus)
- Strong grasp of employee benefits administration and payroll-related compliance
Familiarity with global payroll reporting requirements - Solid knowledge of internal controls, audit preparation, and data confidentiality standards
- Experience in payroll for IT company more than 2 years, experience in finance/accounting more than 4 years
- Proven track record in managing payroll cycles for company with HC not less than 200 employees, preparing financial and tax reports, and working with regulatory bodies
- Experience supporting financial audits and collaborating with external advisors and government authorities
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Proficiency in payroll/accounting platforms
- MS Excel – advanced level
- Experience with digital document workflow tools (e.g., DocuSign)
- Accounting Systems – proficient understanding and hands-on experience
- Fluent Greek and English
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Calculations: Calculate employee salaries, considering working hours, overtime, tax discounts, deductions, reimbursements, etc
- Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll-related taxes in accordance with Cyprus tax laws and regulations
- Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits such as health insurance, pension contributions, and other allowances
- Maintain meticulous records of employee payroll data, ensuring both confidentiality and accuracy
- Compliance with Labour Laws: Stay up-to-date with Cyprus labour laws, including any changes in payroll and employment regulations
- Communication: Address and resolve employee payroll-related queries, such as questions about deductions or tax amounts
- Audit Preparation: Prepare documentation and support audits of payroll processes
- System Maintenance: Use and maintain payroll software systems to optimise processes and improve efficiency
- Remote Services Payments: Process payments for services provided by remote employees
- External Consultants: Cooperate with payroll and tax consultants based in Cyprus and other countries
- Authorities Communication: Manage communications with relevant authorities, including Tax and Social Insurance, as necessary
- Audit Input: Contribute to financial audits of group companies by providing reports, employee lists, and other supporting documents as needed
- Communicate with employees on personal tax matters
