Ensure compliance of the company’s operations with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and applicable international regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
Provide legal support on corporate, contractual, labor, regulatory, and other business matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company and advise management accordingly.
Advise management on representation of the company before state bodies, regulators, and in legal proceedings (where necessary).
Conduct compliance risk assessments, internal audits, and investigate and resolve potential breaches of law, policy, or ethical standards.
Train employees on compliance, ethics, and corporate governance standards.
Advise management on corporate strategy, risks, and legal implications of business decisions
Requirements:
Higher legal education (Law degree required, LL.M. or international legal training is a plus).
At least 7–10 years of progressive legal experience, including compliance; preferably in an international company, large local enterprise, or law firm.
Deep knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory law is a big advantage.
Experience in compliance frameworks, risk management, and corporate governance.
Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
High ethical standards, integrity, and sound judgment.
Fluent Uzbek and Russian; good command of English required (legal/business English is a strong advantage).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with senior management and external stakeholders
