About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer – Project to support the construction of a modern sugar factory. The role includes design review, site supervision, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and automation systems. You will ensure compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and project timelines while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop instrumentation designs including P&ID reviews, instrument selection, and control system architecture.
Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and loop diagrams for instruments and control equipment.
Design and configure DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
Supervise installation, calibration, and integration of instrumentation and control systems.
Participate in FAT/SAT, loop checks, and commissioning activities.
Monitor contractor performance and enforce safety practices.
Maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings and calibration records.
Collaborate with process, electrical, and mechanical teams for system integration.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
Experience: 5+ years in instrumentation and control systems for process industries (sugar, oil & gas, chemical, or heavy industrial facilities).
Preferred: Hands-on commissioning experience; exposure to sugar/refinery/food process plants.
Certifications (advantageous): Advanced field instruments, control systems, PLC/DCS, pneumatics, calibration.
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems (configuration & troubleshooting).
Knowledge of sensors, transmitters, control valves, and analyzers.
Familiarity with ISA, IEC standards and safety regulations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and calibration tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Proven site supervision and testing experience.
Safety-focused, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
