Head of IT Application management division

We are looking for an Application Delivery Head to lead our application delivery function. The role is responsible for ensuring successful delivery of business-critical applications and platforms, managing cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in delivery practices. The position combines strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills with a solid understanding of application lifecycle management.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of applications, from planning through release and post-implementation support.
• Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements.
• Implement best practices for Agile, DevOps, and ITIL-based delivery models.
• Partner with business leaders, product owners, and technology teams to align delivery with organizational objectives.
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to senior management and stakeholders.
• Act as the escalation point for delivery challenges or cross-team conflicts.
• Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs for application delivery and support.
• Drive automation, standardization, and optimization of delivery processes.
• Ensure compliance with security, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to IT strategy by aligning application delivery initiatives with business goals.
• Support budgeting, capacity planning, and vendor management.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance application delivery capability.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in application delivery, solution management, or IT project management.
• Proven track record in managing medium to large teams across multiple projects or application portfolios.
• Proven track record of managing vendor-driven implementations (SaaS, on-premise, open source).
• Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes (Service Design, Transition, Operation).
• Familiarity with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, ITSM, collaboration tools).
• Experience in vendor negotiations and SLA management.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
