HR Director/HRD на Кипре | HoReCa

Our partner — a HoReCa company based in Cyprus — is looking for an HR Director ready to relocate and build the HR function from scratch.
There’s no existing HR team yet — if you're excited by a greenfield setup, you’ll be the first person to shape the People strategy from the ground up.

What you'll be doing:

• Recruitment of key frontline roles — waiters, hostesses, admins, and service staff — plus building your own HR team as the business scales;

• Driving onboarding, motivation, and retention for the operational team that directly impacts daily service quality;

• Implementing relevant HR metrics and best practices tailored for the HoReCa setup (shift-based work, high turnover, service standards);

• Ideally, building out KPI systems for both operational and back-office roles;

• Exploring HR process automation where possible to reduce manual load;

• In the long term — launching internal training programs and L&D initiatives;

• Focusing on consistency and service quality through onboarding, learning, and retention strategies (within the business’s pace and resources);

• Acting as a strategic partner to the founders on all people-related topics.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience as HRD / Head of HR, ideally in the hospitality or restaurant industry;

• Willingness to build processes from zero, not just manage existing ones;

• Experience in frontline hiring and building customer-facing teams is a strong plus;

• Resilience and adaptability to fast-changing environments and the ability to handle conflicts inside teams or with service staff;

• Fluent English — spoken and written — for internal communication and documentation;

• Readiness to relocate to Cyprus — relocation support is discussed individually based on candidate’s priorities.
