Job Purpose
The Piping Designer / Modeller will be responsible for preparing and maintaining 3D models, layouts, and drawings for the new beet sugar factory project in Konayev. The role includes developing pipe routing, equipment, and structural models, supporting multidisciplinary coordination, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, RoK standards, and international codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D models of process equipment, piping, supports, and structures in AVEVA E3D.
- Produce general arrangement (GA) drawings, piping isometrics, spool drawings, and MTOs for construction and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, RoK regulations, and international standards.
- Support model review sessions with the client, project team, and local design partners.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process teams for clash-free design.
- Prepare fabrication drawings and generate BOM/MTOs for procurement and installation.
- Update drawings/models based on engineering revisions or site feedback.
- Assist in integrating vendor data and equipment models into the 3D environment.
- Ensure documentation follows QA/QC procedures.
- Provide input to constructability reviews and site installation planning.
- Import/Export models into and from Aveva master model as and when required.
- Export Aveva E3D model to Navisworks freedom for Client review and feedback.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Structural / Piping Engineering (or equivalent).
- 4–8 years’ experience as a Designer in process plant / industrial projects (food processing, sugar, chemical, or similar).
- Proficiency in AVEVA E3D (mandatory), Navisworks, knowledge of PDMS, AutoCAD, or similar 3D tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with process plant equipment and piping layouts.
- Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and RoK (GOST/SNiP) standards.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Good English communication skills: Russian/Kazakh language skills are an advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work in Konayev (office/site-based).
- Ability to coordinate with international EPC teams and local Kazakhstan design institutes.
