Chief Financial Officer (family office, remote)

We are a single-family office consisting of two successful IT entrepreneurs looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team. The candidate we seek will work as a fully remote employee, providing crucial financial management to our organization.

The ideal candidate for the role of CFO is a strategic, hands-on financial expert with proven experience in finance, accounting, and business operations. He or she must have an aptitude for developing and interpreting financial data, creating and implementing strategic financial plans, and managing systems and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, procedures, solutions and best practices to achieve financial objectives.
• Opening and maintaining bank accounts, overseeing cash flow management, and ensuring optimal liquidity.
• Managing corporate and personal tax matters, liaising with tax advisors or professionals, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Calculation and management of a portfolio of investments, including analyzing investment opportunities, monitoring performance, and providing recommendations.
• Provision of comprehensive financial advice and strategies to optimize investments, mitigate risks, and drive overall financial growth.
• Prepare regular financial reports, forecasts, and analysis for shareholders, presenting insights and providing recommendations for decision-making.
• Assess, develop, and manage risk management strategies to protect the company's financial interest.
• Budgeting and forecasting financial performance, revenue projection, and expense management.
• Monitor, manage, and develop the finance team.

Key Qualifications

• Educational Background: Holds a Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Professional Experience: Brings over 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the technology sector or startup ecosystem. Experience working in a multi-family office environment or managing portfolios with diverse assets is a plus.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Demonstrated success in developing and executing short-term and long-term financial strategies that align with the company's objectives. Expert in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Investment Management: Hands-on experience in portfolio management, including analyzing investment opportunities, overseeing asset allocation, and maximizing returns while controlling risks.
• Operational Efficiency: A track record of optimizing operations through financial discipline, budget management, and cost reduction strategies. Skilled at implementing financial systems and processes that support business scalability.
• Tax Strategy & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of corporate and personal tax planning, capable of navigating complex tax regulations to minimize liabilities and ensure compliance.
• Banking & Liquidity Management: Experience in managing banking relationships, negotiating credit facilities, and ensuring optimal cash flow to support business operations.
• Leadership & Team Development: Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and grow finance teams. Promotes a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
