Admissions Director

Pericles Center for International Legal Education is seeking a full time Admissions Director. This is the primary sales, marketing and PR position at Pericles. The Admissions Director discusses the courses/LL.M. program with potential students and checks the students’ level of English and legal knowledge for the courses. The Admissions Director handles phone calls, walk-in, email and social media inquiries, and maintains a database of leads for courses. He or she calls and meets with prospective students and with HR or Professional Development directors at potential client law firms and companies, and makes and supervises staff call backs to prospective students. The Admissions Director coordinates social media advertising and email promotions, tracks promotion effectiveness and creates and implement marketing plans. He or she attends educational fairs and legal conferences; organizes and directs Pericles own webinars, information sessions and PR events; encourages networking of prospective and current students and alumni; writes and post articles and promotional materials; develops contacts with law firms, companies and law schools; and arranges speaking opportunities for professors. In addition, the Admissions Director participates in management decision making on whether to take on new projects or courses, making growth and financial projections, and other long range planning.

Our center is open from 10 am until 10pm M-F and in the daytime on Saturdays, and the Admissions Director can, for the most part, set his or her own schedule within that time frame. The hours are fairly flexible, it does not require much overtime. However, this position is mainly an in person position, for the most part it cannot be done remotely, and it does occasionally require evening webinars, events and meetings with students.

• The candidate must be outgoing and good at communicating with people. He or she must be fluent in English and Russian. We seek someone with at least three years of work experience, plus experience in sales, marketing or PR, preferably, although not necessarily, in a legal or academic environment. Some legal training or knowledge of law schools is also helpful. However, we cannot relocate someone to Moscow.

• Pericles is an English language continuing education center for legal skills. Our school has two separate departments. We currently offer three main products:

• (1) Legal Skills Training courses for both individual students and companies in topics such as legal writing, language of contracts, negotiations, and legal English,

• (2) a complete American style LL.M. program in Global Business Law, and

• (3) a Dual Masters of Jurisprudence in American Corporate Law or American Corporate Law and Compliance in conjunction with Delaware Law School.

• All courses are currently available online and many are bi-modal (available both in person and synchronously online.) The Admissions Director’s job includes enrolling students into all three programs.

• Monthly base salary of 70,000 rubles gross plus a 3 time per year bonus based on the number of students enrolling in and successfully completing a course. We estimate that the base salary plus commission should total an average of between 90,000 and 115,000 rubles per month. The usual statutory holidays and vacation time is provided. All our staff members and their immediate family may study for free. Taking courses is a key perk of the job, making it a good position for lawyers.
