Customs Clearance Specialist

We are looking for a Customs Clearance Specialist for an international engineering company

Responsibilities:

• Providing support for all customs clearance activities with the supervision of Customs Clearance Manager;
• Coordinating with internal organizations (purchasing, expediting, inspecting) for collection of customs clearance documents;
• A preliminary review of customs clearance documents;
• Checking the critical information within the documents received and coordinating it with vendors and customs representatives;
• Managing the customs clearance arrangements, coordinating with customs representatives;
• Monitoring the status of customs clearance and reporting to Customs Clearance Manager and all related parties;
• Monitoring and controlling the customs clearance processes to prevent any delays;
• Ensuring of timely obtaining all necessary permissions, coordinating with customs clearance regarding the consignment (goods) if needed;
• Processing payments of necessary fees and other expenses imposed;
• Coordinating with Construction management (Cm) team regarding the arrival of the consignment to the site/warehouse/laydown;
• Following up on customs inspection;
• Coordinating and supporting the customs representatives for preparation of application documents, supporting the engineers for completion of required documents;
• Participating in the whole process and resolving the critical issues relating to application approval and execution process under Classification Resolution (incl. Preliminary CR);
• Coordinating, arranging, and executing customs audits/inspections, if needed..

Requirements:

• Higher education
• English – Upper Intermediate or higher
• Knowledge of Russian regulations and laws regarding general customs clearance practice
• Knowledge of specifics of contract documents, shipping and transport documents
• Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

• Employment contract based on Russian Labor Code;
• Fixed-term contract till 31.12.2026 with prolongation;
• 5-days working week;
• Full-time working day (09:00-18:00); 100% office work (on Fridays till 17:00)
• Salary: negotiable, will be determined based on results of the interview.
