QC Supervisor for Subcontractor / Vendor Inspections (Moscow)

Job Responsibilities:

The QC Supervisor for Subcontractor / Vendor Inspections is responsible for coordinating all activities when inspections required at supplier premisses.

• Assign proper supplier quality surveillance levels per equipment tag number or by purchase order/subcontract as determined by criticality rating.
• Review and approve Subcontractor / Vendor Inspection and Test Plans, QC Procedures, FAT Procedures and Manufacturers Data Book Index.
• Plan inspections for each quality activity which requires presence of Contractor and/or Company.
• Issue the Assignment Instructions to the Inspector in details and coordinate the visit with Subcontractor / Vendor
• Follow up with the Inspectors; monitor their daily activities to assure that inspection activities are performed as assigned.
• When third party Inspectors are to be considered for assignments, secure their resume and conduct a preliminary interview to confirm qualifications.
• Plan Pre-Inspection Meeting with Expeditors and Suppliers, if necessary.
• On critical orders, attend pre-inspection meetings and support the assigned Inspector, who will lead the meeting.
• Assist the Inspector in obtaining clarifications and interpretations to quality standards, industry codes, and Engineering and Client specifications.
• Approve release of each shipment for critical items
• Plan and coordinate Subcontractor / Vendor Audits.
• Prepare Supplier Inspection Report with 3 weeks look ahead.
• Assist the PO quality closure.
• Use relevant tools like score card, statistical methods, benchmarks etc to analyse and interpret data collected. Conduct Root Cause Analysis, if necessary.
• Coordinate / Ensure effective communication with Expeditors, Suppliers, Company, Site QA/QC Team, when necessary.

• Qualifications Required:

• Minimum five (5) years of experience required in at least one of listed fields below:
  • Inspection of Electrical and Instrumentation cables and equipment (panels, JB, sensors etc.)
  • Inspection of Pipes, Valves, Fittings, Fasteners, Flanges & Pipe Supports etc
  • Inspection of Rotating (pumps, generators etc.) and HVAC Equipment (ducts and accessories, fans, dampers etc.)
  • Inspection or fabrication of steel structures, piping, static equipment, (heat exchangers, tanks and drums etc.), welding inspection and NDT.
• Bachelor of Engineering in a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Verbal and written Russian and English language skills with professional proficiency
