Robofinance provides AI-enhanced financial services in the fields of alternative lending and marketplace funding. We operate in over 10 countries. We are constantly expanding into new markets and geographies and are inviting a Regional Financial Controller to join Finance team.

Regional Financial Controller is a key figure that acts as a finance business partner to Country Manager, driving financial performance of a business unit. In this role they will be responsible for all aspects of Business Unit finances: financial planning and analysis, management reporting, IFRS reporting, decision-making support, controlling, local and Group audits, and local team management.

Main responsibilities:

  • Monthly management reporting under IFRS, transformation from local accounting standards into IFRS.
  • In-depth variance analysis of management accounts, actionable recommendations for Business Unit team on ways to improve the bottom line.
  • Monthly calculation of forecast and actual KPIs.
  • Pro-active participation in monthly country review meetings.
  • Daily controls of cash transactions vs budget, weekly compilation of rolling cash flow forecast, making sure that cash flows are properly challenged, and corporate funds are utilized efficiently.
  • Implementation of corporate governance practices and compliance controls on local level.
  • Management of effectiveness of local finance teams’ work.
  • Participation in group and local audit process.
  • Performance of internal audit procedures for local accounting, tax and IFRS, forensic analysis.
  • Lead IT features deployment (new product features, loans management system back-end, accounting systems integration, etc.).
  • Ensure data integrity checks of financial instruments portfolios based on vintages analysis and related provisions under IFRS 9.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business analysis
  • Ability to work under limited supervision, plan and organize the work independently.
  • Ability to turn data to actionable business insights.
  • Solid MS Excel skills (total comfort with pivot tables, Power Query, SUMIFS / INDEX+MATCH is a MUST).
  • Experience working with data-set analysis.
  • Good knowledge of English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Big4 - Consulting / Performance Improvement, FMCG, Fintech, Consumer IT or other related
  • ACCA, CFA, CMA, CPA, DipIFR are a big plus
  • Understanding of consumer lending, credit underwriting, collection functions;
  • Understanding of customer acquisition, conversion metrics, LTV and unit-economics is a plus
  • Experience in business analysis including data visualisation for financial services;
  • Experience in cooperation with other business functions (IT, Operations, Sales, Risk).
