Analyst (Flight Data)

Responsibilities:

• Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the day-to-day operation of the FDM Programme in close cooperation with the Engineering and Maintenance Department, ensuring that raw flight data is collected, transferred to a secure ground-based computer system and converted into a usable format for analysis.
• Conduct daily flight data analysis, including event validation and data review, using flight analysis software.
• Perform data quality checks to identify abnormalities and inconsistencies.
• Ensure the de-identification, protection and confidentiality of flight data and maintain the flight data archive.
• Work closely with the Safety Pilot to identify operational anomalies and potential hazards.
• Coordinate with the Flight Operations and Engineering and Maintenance Departments on FDM-related matters.
• Assist the Safety Manager in integrating FDM outputs into the central safety database to support safety performance measurement, management of change and continuous improvement.
• Promptly report significant exceedances and emerging adverse trends identified through FDM.
• Prepare monthly FDM reports highlighting deviations from expected operational performance.
• Maintain statistical and trend analyses of flight data from routine operations to support improvements in flight safety.
• Regularly monitor Safety Performance Indicators associated with the FDM Programme. Where adverse trends are identified, analyse the findings and develop appropriate corrective actions in cooperation with the Head of Safety Management Section and the relevant department and unit managers.
• Perform other safety data-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• A college diploma or equivalent qualification in aviation, engineering, statistics or information technology, with at least two years of relevant work experience; or a higher education qualification in one of these fields.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organise and analyse large volumes of information with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in computer applications and data-processing tools.
• Fluency in English.
