English Language Teacher (Astana / Almaty)

Coventry University Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan campus of one of the UK’s leading universities, is launching the Coventry English Language Centre, a premium English school on our university campuses in Astana and Almaty. We are building a team of passionate teachers who will help learners of all ages speak English with confidence.

What you will do

• Teach General English (A1–C1) to adults, teenagers and children in small groups of up to 8 students
• Deliver IELTS preparation courses (for experienced candidates)
• Use a communicative, speaking-focused methodology based on Cambridge materials
• Track student progress with regular assessments and monthly reports
• Take part in our weekend community clubs: Cinema Club, Book Club and Running Club

What we are looking for

• CELTA, DELTA, TESOL or an equivalent teaching qualification (CELTA preferred)
• English at C1–C2 level (IELTS 8.0+ or equivalent); native speakers are very welcome
• At least 2 years of experience teaching English to groups
• Experience with IELTS preparation is a strong advantage
• Energetic, student-centred teaching style and excellent communication skills
• Availability for evening and weekend classes
